Vera is a London-based performer and the artistic director of saltpeter. She grew up in Malaysia till the age of seventeen then, through sheer wilfulness, spent two years in an odd boarding school in a small village in Staffordshire.

At The Queen's College, Oxford, Vera read Human Sciences before switching to Archaeology and Anthropology. She then trained as an actress at The Poor School and now studies with Philippe Gaulier whenever she can. She is also greatly influenced by Adrian Gillott, Krystian Godlewski (The Bones Theatre) and Andrew Morrish.
